i bought my lab this awesome wooden dog house. its great. he seems to think that it tastes great. i didnt think that he would chew on something as big as a doghouse, otherwise i would have gotten him a plastic one. i've soaked the edges in "bitter apple" no chew spray, but anytime i have used that on other things he has just chewed right through it. im thinking i need a stronger spray? help?!?!

  1. Sounds like you have a dog that is a) teething b) bored or c)bored and teething.

A lab puppy and adult dog is gonna need as much mental and physical stimulation as possible. 40 minutes of vigorous play is needed, may I suggest fetch? Chew toys, LOTS of them, KONGS are great!!!

and if you are leaving him out there all day...tisk.

bring him in, let him be and play with his pack.

    good luck.

  2. You don't need sprays, you need to give your dog more exercise.

A bored lab will literally eat your house or his in this case.

Get him out, get him exercised at least an hour a day. Play fetch, give him a treat filled Kong or Buster Cube.

Work on obedience or try a dog sport such as agility to work out his brain as well body.

Then you need to up his exercise more. A tired dog is a good dog. Obviously is current regime isn't enough. He may also be stressed if he's kept outside away from his family.
