How do i get my bedroom cold and to stay cold?

i have a window, curtans of course , BUT NO AC and my bedrroom is always ( this year the coldest room in the house!) how can i cool it down?

Open windows and blow a fan from the window at night...this will cool it down when the sun has gone down.  Then, during the day, close everything up...blinds, curtains, window and door...keep it extra dark and this won't allow the sun to heat it back up again.  :)
