How do i get my boyfriend to canada from ireland?

Me and my boyfriend have been together for almost 4 years now, and we've been going back and forth to be with each other, and he wants to move here to be with me, and were both not sure how he can get a visa, or if we have to get married, which we do wanna get married, but we wanted to wait a few years..But we really just wanna be together so were not apart any longer. We really love being together, and being apart for a few months at a time is really hard. Does anyone know what we could do? or how he can get a visa?

if you qualify you can sponsor him as a spouse, you don't need to be married you just have to prove your relationship is real.

he  can come and stay in Canada without a visa for 6 months  that's what i did and just applied to extend my stay until my immigration was complete

I don't think they give out visas to boyfriends - so you may need to wait until you are ready to get married and then have him apply for a fiancé visa. Unless of course he has enough skills to be able to find a job and get a work visa. Good luck! :-)

Contact the Canadian Immigration in Vegreville, Alberta. That's the headquarters.  If you are the female then you have to have an income of more than $36,000 to sponsor a spouse who you are obligated to support for the next 10 years.  I am sure it's love by now being 4 years in having a dating long distance relationship. And the sponsorship takes in effect once they get the money when you pay at your Bank. You first go to the website, read the forms that you have to request, and then get a marriage license, and do the forms, since you have to wait till you get the license back to your address before you can mail off the paperwork that you sponsored your spouse. YOu can apply first for a visitor visa of 6 months, in that time marry him, and then get the paperwork going, the money is about $1,500. So start saving up if you haven't yet.  And then the waiting time is long, plus keep all the correspondence you two did together, cause they want to make sure you got married FOR LOVE rather than just to get this foreirgner into Canada without real love. Cause the Ireland man can't get welfare or assistance since he is sponsored by you, and you are the main breadwinner.  That means you are obligated to support him and be forced to support him for the 10 years from the time he gets his "landed Immgration card" then after that he can apply for Citizenship which is 2 years from the time he got the card. Long process. But if you two love each other, that will be half the battle.  I hope you two love each other alot since this will test your love all the questions and prying they do into your lives.
