Hey again!

How do i get my cat to stop scratching me? ( i will not declaw him)

He only has his back claws.

Hes a 4-5 year old boy cat.

How do i get him to listen to me? And how do i get him to stop growling when i hold him? Like if im holding him he will growl NON STOP until i let him down! Hes an inside cat....never lived outside.

Hes justs SOOOO MEAN!

When i feed him hes sleeping, an hour later he gets up sits by the food and just stares at me!!! HE DOESNT TOUCH THE BRAND NEW FRESH FOOD!

Throughout the years my brother thought my cat to be mean!!!!

AND EVEN BOX!

So now my cat boxes with me! Once i came to school with a VERY RED eye!And around my eye was dark blue!

So my questions are:

How do you get a cat to stop scratching you, without getting it de-clawed?

How do you get a cat to eat his fresh food even if he didnt see me open it?

How do you get a cat to stop growling everytime you hold it,non stop growling?

And how do i get him to listen to me?

Thanks sooooooooooo MUCH!

Kiss kiss!

XoXo

  1. if he has only his back claws then he can't help scratching you.

    it just happens.

to get the cat to eat his food...just leave the food there until he gets so hunger eventually he'll eat it. just keep doing this and he'll stop being picky.

your cat does not like being held. thats just the truth. you can't really do anything about him growling when you hold him.

if somebody cut your arm off, you are going to scream. that's how it is to the cat. you're cutting his arms off.

cats don't listen. they are stubborn, independent, care-free animals.

they pretty much don't need people and they know it...so they won't listen

im sorry but cats are really lame.

    but i love them i have 2 cats =] =] =]

  2. get him a friend, lots of cats stop scratching when they have a friend

just leave it their for him, we will eat it eventually

don't hold him, ignore him, make him want to come to you

rewards based training course, google it

also, its proven that if you get a new cat, and you give it attention, the old cat becomes jelous and will act friendlier to get more attention.

  3. I'm sorry for you and iknow the awnser!

he just needs to relax a little.

Try being nicer to him dont me mean

    trust me it will work

  4. i had this too with my kitten, the best thing you can do about the scratching is just say NO very loudly when he scratches you and walk away or put him down, do it every time you get scratched and after a couple days your cat will know wat no means and will stop doing it so often.

  5. it's just in his character, of course you can make him to 'know his place' with a little discipline, but i don't think you can do more.

  6. If he only has his back claws, then he has already been declawed, because you generally don't do all four paws.  You can get he back claws trimmed, or put those soft cap covers over them?  My cat is the same about his food, he wants to see it being poured fresh, by only me.  Someone else feeding him does no good if I am there.  So I would wait to feed your cat until he sees you do it.  The growling, does it only happen when you hold him?  Some cats just don't like to feel restrained, it's just their personality.  And I don't know many cats that will listen.

  7. Uhm be nice.
