How do i get my certificate of residency to teach english?????

ill be teaching in korea for 6 months and i need get my certificate of residency to have tat tax exemption. but my problem is i duno where i get that or wat to do!!! im locate at california. and also how long does dis take???

First of all, to receive a tax exemption for teaching or working abroad, you must be physically outside the USA for a specific number of days during the year you teach.  The year does not have to be exactly a tax year.  For example, it could run from June 2008 to June 2009 rather than January to December 2008.  If you return to US soil in the year for more than 30 days or so, you are not exempt from paying taxes.  The forms and more information are available through IRS.
