How do i get my chi to pee outside? all the time??

sometimes she goes, but often she will be at the park, out for several hours sometimes all day, and then the minute we walk in the door she pees on the carpet. what is this all about??? i have watched 2 solid seasons of the dog whisperer and have not found an answer. hahaha! i have tried to establish alpha dog status, that helps with some things...

You have got to give the dog a lot of praise when she goes outside, and a slight reprimand when they go inside. I'm all about positive reinforcement with my dog.  I also tell my dog potty, when I take her outside; so she knows what I want her to do.. When she was a small puppy I would praise her alot when she went outside... I'd say "good potty"..

Its really similar to potty training a child..

Quit watching the dog whisperer. It will do your chihuahua a world of good.

Get a book about chihuahuas. Learn to understand your chihuahua and work with her. Patience and persistence are key.

You can either try crate training or piddlepads. Research which ever method you choose carefully. Which ever way you go, pick a method and stick with it.

By the by... I have 2 chihuahuas. I love them dearly and would never let that dog whisperer idiot near them.

If you have carpet that is the problem, but if you dont than try to give the best tret like yellow chesse litte pices when ever the dog go out side and pee.
