How do i get my chinchilla to like me?

my chinchilla used 2 love me but i think now he thinks of me as person that gives food and lets him out

ive had him for like 2 months hes not new

i giv e him treats he just takes um and runs and goes 2 eat them

how ca i get him 2 like me, i let him like an hour everyday

Hold him more, and don't just let him take the treat and run! Hold the treat so he has to eat it while you hold it, this interaction will remind him that you are his friend, not his servant!

Also when you let him out, hold him first for a few minutes so he knows you care, then he will again realize that it is nice to have you as a friend.

And play with him! Why else did you get him if not to play? Get him new toys, flavour them even! He will love you if only you interact more! Don't let him think you just work for him, cuz you don't!

You must help him realize that you love him, so that he can feel the same towards you.
