How do i get my cockateil to go on my finger esaliy

i just bought a beutiful cockatiel 2 days ago and i

and tryed to let get on him self but he tryed to bite

me so what should i do

try not to rushhim. it really just takes time. i just adoptted one today and i just sit with my hand in the cage and talk to it or read in front of the cage. there are alot of good tips online. try searchign on google good luck

If you bought the teils at the pet shops ...it is very hard to train ( because they mostly don't sell hand fed , and they are no longer young ) If you buy a hand fed one from a breeder and they are still young, they would step on your finger easily . I have fed 30 of them every 4 hours ...and when I sell to my customers , the babies teils  see me, they all come to me and step on my customers 's fingers right away , no shy , no hesitate ...they think it is feeding time ...But to be short , just be patient , talk to it , and keep repeat ...step up, step up ...if you are afraid of biting, wear a soft glove to protect your finger .
