  1. dont pull out the shotgun around it and dont eat chicken and other birds and dont let crazy people hold it

  2. you need to spend  at lease 30 mins. a day talking to your bird. give it treats like sunflower seeds  if you bird trys to bite you and you pull your hand away then they learn to bite you to make you go away

  3. does he trust you and not others? or are you the only one he trusts? because a lot of times cockatiels will attach themselves to one person.  My cockatiel only trusts me, and doesnt like other people.  She will, however let my boyfriend pet and hold her, but only if I'm not in the room.  If he is having trust issues with everyone, including you, try spending a minimum of 30-60 min a day making contact with him, giving him treats

  4. 1.  The Punishments:

When ever he hisses put him into his cage.  Sooner or later he'll stop and or he'll get the message.

    2.  The Rewards.

When he behaves around other people give him a special treat, cuddle him, or give him something he'll like.

    3.  When He Behaves.

When you think he is well behaved enough stop giving him the treats and see how he behaves.  If he behaves fine then you've done a great job, but if h doesn't repeat Step 1 and if you want Step 2.
