How do i get my comp. to read my memory card? its a SD4gig but my comp. doesnt know its in the slot?

i put the memory card in the slot in my computer, but its like my computer doesnt even recognize that its there.... its unlocked, and the blue light on my laptop saying that there is a memory card in comes on when i put it in, but then it just turns off? weird?

Depending on how old your computer is, some older card reader do not support SD cards over 2 gig.

Probably too big.  Or format not readable.  Most card readers read up to 2 gb.
