  1. Ok, before you get your develope higher, make sure you have a high posse. If you bring your leg into a higher posse, then extend the lower half of your leg, it is ALOT easier. Make sure you have your full split (with nose to knees, BOTH sides) if you want your develope higher. Practice just lifting your leg inch by inch instead of going from 90* to 180* (shoulder). Ask your ballet teacher for help, as internet can give many different answers. Make sure you sdon'trush, or you could pull a muscle. Ask your dance teacher for help and GoodLuck!!!

  2. keep practicing, thats how you develop in ballet

  3. well you could try these:

for strength:-focus on your abdominal muscles to make your legs stay up longer and to make it easier for you to do it higher( like do sit ups)

for flexibility:-try making your leg go higher like about an inch and try to sustain it for at least 20 secs/counts, do this everyday and you''ll see the difference of the height of your legs. this will stretch your leg muscles,to be able to make your leg higher.

do these everyday and you'll see the results:)) i knwow because i had low extensions as well be4.when i did this,my leg is now like about inches away from my head:) (no bragging intended there, just telling an experience/example)

    good luck,and keep practicing!:)

  4. A high Développé comes from core strength.  Try adding a Pilates class to your ballet curriculum; it builds on core strength, flexibility and extension.  You'll begin seeing results right away.  It's amazing!
