  1. IOFIF:  You're an idiot!  Macs are the computers most preferred by professional video producers, music producers, graphic designers and web designers.  Go use Windows and get all the viruses you can.  In the meantime, I'll be using my virus-free Mac OS X Leopard!

Now, did you try transferring the video through FireWire?  If not, try that.

Also, to clear something up:  Sony Handycams are compatable with Macs.  How do I know this?  Well, in my last year of school, I took video production and film production and we used both cheaper Handycams and $3,000 Handycams.  Both worked fine with the older eMacs.  They're sure to work fine with brand new iMacs, Mac Pros, Mac Minis, MacBook Pros, MacBooks and MacBook Airs.

  2. You need to connect your camcorder to your computer with a firewire cord http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000ARO...  Once you do, you can use iMovie or Final Cut Pro to capture your videos from the camcorder to the computer.  You will also be able to edit and save your movies in other formats instead of MPEG.

  3. good luck!

  4. I believe you have to change the movie's format. Try looking it up in the FAQ and tips, those are usually helpful.

Or it might not be compatible with a MAC...but Idk, I'm not familiar with your camera.

  5. well theres your problem...you have a Mac....lol
