How do i get my downloaded sims onto my game sims 2??????????

i have tryed unzipin the files and turned on my custom content nothin is workin how do i get my sims onto my game

First download the object/clothes/hair (don't forget they need a mesh for working)

Than go to C:\Documents and Settings\Robi\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2 and make a new folder called" Downloads " with D and s .After that in this folder you put all the downloads ( unzipped is better) and than you get into the game ,and will appear a box with 2 options "Disable * Enable" you click on the Enable box and than you get out of game and start again .And all the object will work
