How do i get my driver's license?

okay im in texas and im 15 starting to take the driver's ed...and im turning 16 in july! so i get a permit whenever im taking driver's ed right? and then what happens next?...when i turn 16 in july do i go back to the DPS and take the test for the license? and then i get the paper license??is this how it all goes?!?! please help

Make sure that you have a birth certificate and proof of residense which is something like a piece of junk mail that has your name and address where you currently live.

Why not research their web site. Most likely you will have to hold your permit for six months or so before you can get your license.

yes- contact your insurance company to see if they require more for cheaper coverage.
