  1. When they took it to begin with they told you that.  Pay the fines, let "X" amount of time go by, take some classes in "Y".  If you did all that and the proper time has gone by, apply to get it back.


  2. Depends on the reason.  If you owe money for a ticket, fine, magesterial fees, etc., then you must make restitution and the magistrate must notify the state that  restitution has been made.  THere is also a resinstatement fee that must be paid to the state.  If its been suspended for a moving violation, letting an unlicensed driver operate your vehicle, having no insurance, expired plates, inspection sticker, etc., then the state will keep your license for whatever period of time your state law is.  In some instances, the state will permit you to drive to and from work only depending upon the reason your license was suspended in the first place.  Best thing to do is call the state and ask.

  3. Depends why it was suspended.  You'll need to go before a judge.

  4. If you wish to appeal the court ruling you must apply at the DMV within 10 days of the hearing upon your request & the reason of suspension they may or may not give you a hardship liscense (reinstatment).
