  1. I am so sorry about your situation...

But if you are willing to clean up after your family you are already moving forward and trying to make a difference

Definilty have like a family meeting and talk to them about the situation if that doesnt work then just clean what is yours and that is it.  Make them realize that without your help and cleaning the house can not be lived in. Hopefully they will clean up after themselves.  Also if it gets SUPER bad maybe you can get like a social worker in your house or something and possible take legal action...it shouldn't get that far..but  a dirty house is not sanitry for anyone....espically a 10 year old!

I wish you ALLL the luck

    God Bless

    :)

  2. My roommate does the same thing my mom used to do. He put the dirty dishes I was too lazy to put in the dishwasher and stuff I left laying around, IN MY ROOM. I finally got the hint

  3. This is the lack of parenting. If your parents don't do it, you shouldn't. Call Child Protective Services---since your still a minor and your parents won't do anything, or plan to move out as soon as possible after graduation. College dorms are filthy, but your room will be clean.

  4. I was in a similar situation as I grew up.  Sadly, I don't think there is anything you can do.  However, why not speak with your parents first (alone) and see if you can work from the top down?

  5. i remember growing up and we would leave our stuff out all over the house.  it either got thrown away--and if we said anything we got "oh well it must not have been that important to you or you wouldnt have left it lying around".  or it was picked up and dumped in our own bedrooms.  if they dont mind living in filth then they can do it in the privacy of their own rooms.  maybe your parents can buy paper plates/cups, and plastic ware for your brothers/sisters to use so when they finish eating it can just be thrown away instead of having a lot of dishes that pile up attracting flies and gnats.  good luck talking to your parents about it, they obviously dont mind living like that so i doubt anything will change with them.  maybe if you have aunts/uncles or grandparents close by you can ask to spend your weekends and free time over there.  if they ask why tell them because over there you can have friends over and right now you dont feel you can do that at home because the mess has gotten out of control.  i dunno just a thought.

  6. You could always hire a maid service again and tell your parents it's either that or you have to drop out of school because you can't focus on both things... I do like the one answer about putting everyone elses c**p in their own rooms.  After awhile someone will get sick of it.
