  1. try spot feeding him defrosted brine shrimp with a turkey baster in his hidey hole, just gently squirt the food towards him and he should eat at leat some of it :)

    most fish adore brine shrimp

    hope that helped :_

  2. glass/ghost catfish need to school in groups of 6 or more thats probably why its hiding

they prefer live food but can be weened to flake food but it will take some time. i would try getting some live food.

its a good idea to research any animal before you get them

  3. Ghost Catfish are best kept in schools of six or more, the reason why it keeps hiding is because it probably feels stressed out since there's no company, and if it keeps being solitary like that then most likely he will keep hiding. If space permits, add more fish to your aquarium so your ghost catfish can feel more secure, and confident enough to go grab a bite. If this would make your aquarium overstocked, then consider returning the fish.

  4. Catfishes being bottom feeders would enjoy some fast sinking pellets.

If you put the flake food or what ever else you are feeding in there at the same time the fish will more go for the floating food and ignore the fast sinking food.

The Catfish will have a bigger piece of food to steal and put where ever he hides. The pellets tend to be harder and dont just fall apart. Maybe he will get more food that way.

  5. cater fish need big tanks and need to be in schools
