How do i get my four year old daughter to sleep in her own bed?

my daughter is four now and she's slept in the same bed with me since she was a baby. she wont sleep at all unless i go to sleep with her. she will refuse to sleep at daycare. how do i get her to sleep in her own bed, she has her own room and i even bought her bed in right next my bed but it didnt work, what else can i try?

Well maybe she is not a napper...my child hasnt slept in the day since 18 months old...daycare's want them all to do what the teachers want as it is more conveniant....as for sleeping with you at night she probably justr likes your company if you go to work in the day....personally I dont think there's anything wrong with them sleeping with you...mine does all the time and she's nearly 4. If you dont like it then maybe you can try to make going in her own room really fun...set up a nice bedtime routine....like you spend half an hour with her if she'll stay in her bed..reading to her etc....but if she sleeps in yours she only gets one story.

There is always bribery, you get a piece of candy if you sleep by yourself all night. Then of coarse the 'big girl" thing," Big Girls sleep in their own beds by them selves". Or you could redo her room with fairies or princesses or something that interest her. A special night time blanket with puppies or horsies or fairy's or princesses again something she likes on it and of coarse you could get as fancy as you wanted with that. I hope this helped!

some times it is just something simple.  Try taking her to pick out some bedding and don't forget a night lite - and some new pajamas that can only be worn in a big girl bed.

When I was little, I would wake up almost every night and go to my mom's room and ask her to lay down with me.  She would take me back to my room and lay in bed with me until I fell asleep and then would go back to her room and sleep.  You could try doing that when it's time for her to go to bed.
