How do i get my gamecube memory card to work in my Nintendo Wii?

I just got a game for my gamecube today, and i only have a Wii, and i put my memory card for my gamecube into the Nintendo Wii, and it says there is no Memory card in slot a! I put it in both slots and it said there was still nothing it it! how do i get it to work?????

  1. You wouldn't happen to be using the 1019 GC Memory card would you?  Those have been known to not work on the Wii.


  2. my memory card 1019 works just fine on my wii. Try wiggling it around, and it is most likely the wii's fault because the wii is built like a piece of c**p.

    Try asking nintendo on their customer service number at 1800-255-3700

    They could most likely help you with this, and also try blowing on the card and inside the wii's memory card slot

    Gamecube accesories have very good workmanship and I doubt that they would ever get bad, wii on the other hand is another entire story

  3. try blowing into the memory card and into the memory card slot because it could be dusty


  4. Most cards not made by Nintendo don't work.

  5. Sounds like your memory card could be corrupt, you could tryin simply blowing on it a bit, that works for me sometimes, otherwise I picked up a used GC memory card at a store similar to Gamestop/EB here in Canada for around $5.
