How do i get my grand dads military service records..(FREE) online???

  1. You are going to have to go through the department of Veteran's Affairs and there may be some type of fee.


  2. Ancestry.com has military records going clear back to the Revolutionary War. If you have a membership there, just type his name, birth/death dates in the search area. It will take you to their "Historical Records" page--census, etc. In the left hand column, click on the Military link, and you will go to the page listing all those records. If you do NOT have a membership, email me (check my profile)  the info and I'll see what I can find for you.  :)
