  1. instead of waiting every 4 months, i'd get it done at least once a month.

    that'll help keep it healthier.

also, try using either the dove shampoo for intense damage or the heat therapy shampoo by tresemme.

both of them work excellent !

also, before you blow dry or straighten your hair, try using some VO5 miracle! mist. it'll protect your hair from the heat damage.

i use it every time i straighten my hair and i love it ! it smells way good too.

    good luck!

  2. if u want your hair healthier get it trimmed about avery 4-6 weeks.

and go to a pro. hair saloon and ask what shampoo and conditioner is to make your hair healthy

  3. i would naturally recommend to stop straitening it, but if you don't wanna, then you need to really condition your hair.

IF YOU USE A 2-IN-1, STOP RIGHT NOW!! they don't work, and like basic math, they cancel each other out, so the conditioner is washed right off.

also not to blow dry to reduce damage, comb is less, DO NOT COMB IT W/ YOUR HAND!!

I WOULD REALLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU GO AND BUY PROFESSIONAL SALON QUALITY SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONERS. THEY EVEN SELL THEM @ WALGREEN'S!!! THEY DO SELL FOR MORE, BUT YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!! I REALLY MEAN IT. i use a shampoo and contioner from MATRIX's biolage line, and you can really feel a difference in your hair.

i also recomend that you also apply a serium to your hair before you iron it to conition it. they sell them @ a lot of drugstores.

all i have to say is to reduce damage that you otherwise cause not only from ironing it, put blowdrying, combing, tangling/untangling (get a better quality hair brush helps), and use a very moisterizing sampoo/conditioner that will moisterize your hair better. (get rid of the H&S. salon stuff works miracles)

  4. Ok firstly i straighten my hair all the time too its the only way to maintain the style of a short haircut... however on the days that i can i at least go once a week with out styling it and let it rest.

Adding protien to your diet will help your hair to strengthen and so will increase of iron..

and if you are dying it blonde or lighter try and give your hair a rest in the winter months by going darker..

to sum up- have a look at your diet as what you put in you get out. Give your hair a rest every now and then, and once a week do an at home conditioning treatment.

    Good luck

ps be happy with your hair natural as well as styled and your hair will thank you :)

to grow, once again diet changes will help... but as a topical product Garnier have a really great leave in conditioner that will help with split ends so your hair will grow healthier and faster... i cant remember what it is called but it is in a small round bottle pump and explains what it does on the pack, i was having similar problems and used this to grow my hair long, it only took a few months with a good diet- i was shocked as at the start of the year it was just on my shoulders and by the end it was down to my waist.

  5. i straighten my hair alot too lol

i started using a heat protection spray before drying and straightening my hair a few months ago and it seems to have helped

also olive oil is supposed to be good too

warm some up in the microwave, comb it through the hair, wrap it in cling film and leave it for an hour or so.

ive got my hair wrapped up right now lol ill let you know how it comes out

  6. Ok first off, its good you're avoiding hair color, but its not good to use heat on your hair everyday. too much heat on hair is one of the major causes for breakage. Especially if you're not using a heat protection product. Also I would try to get your hair trimmed about once a month or 4 to 6 weeks. Everyone's hair grows at a different rate, so be patient. For the breakage, I would suggest some kind of deep conditioning treatment. Like a hot oil treatment or a deep conditioner of some kind, maybe garnier fructis sleek and shine deep conditioner 3 minute mask. This will help to nurse your hair back to health. Even though you may love straightening your hair everyday, its not very good to do. I'm not saying avoid straightening it all together, but cut it down a notch. Do a little research online and find products that will work best for you. But, definitely start by getting trims more often.
