How do i get my icons back in my tool bar?

WHAT IM TRYING TO EXPLAIN HERE IS U KNOW HOW YOU HAVE FILE, EDIT, VIEW... WHILE UNDERNEATH THAT I DONT HAVE ANY OF MY ICONS... DO YOU KNOW HOW I CAN GET THEM BACK OR WHAT I HAVE TO DO SO THEY CAN SHOW UP

Click on the vertical line  (that looks like it is perforated and consists of dots) repeatedly, and the icons should reappear. There are several of these vertical lines.
