  1. I wouldn't use miraclegrow, it will make the new leaves too tender and a fabulous taste treat for your snails.  Try a fertilzer with less N.

    Water the ivy good.

    Reduce your snail population.

If it has doubled in size already, then it is possible that it has rooted out on its new stolons.  Cut those rooted stolons neatly, and transplant them far away from your original ivy.  Then you will have multiple centers of  growth and the whole area will fill in faster.

  2. Not sure how you can get it to grow super-fast, but be careful with any plants or bushes you have around it - once it takes hold it could end up sucking the life out of them.

  3. Consider using Miracle Grow every weekend. It is very easy to use and makes the plants grow like crazy. I just planted some Texas Privets in my back yard, and with the Miracle Grow they have gained two feet in four months. You can find this product anywhere such as:

    homedepot.com

    or

    lowes.com

The products are also available in their stores   (home depot or lowes), but make sure you get the stuff that is suited for the ivy.

  4. If you want to double the size of your plants try using a product called Super Thrive.  It's vitamins and hormones that make the growth really productive.  Also, you would still want to fertilize your plant Miracle Gro regularly.  Here is a link on amazon for the Super Thrive.  Check it out.

  5. Fertiliser.
