  1. Snatch her up and quickly set her down, then flick her butt with your finger and tell her sternly "No". You can't be acting all nicey-nice in your attitude towards her when she does this, so shooing her isn't going to work. She'll think you aren't serious about it, then do it again. You don't need all of those stupid gadgets and tricks to get her to stop. You just need to be firm with her and she'll pick it up from that.

  2. I had this issue with both of my cats--we used a spray bottle--but first of all I felt mean and secondly they also love water and werent too fazed by it.  We learned that cats hate aluminum foil--so all I have to do is pull out the aluminum foil and crunch it up and they get right off.  Try it--Good Luck!!!

  3. using a spray bottle filled with water, and when you catch her doing it, spray her.

if you are not in the room, put pieces of aluminum foil along your counter, and when you hear her walking on it, spray her again (plus cats seem to not like aluminum foil, i know mine doesn't)

I have done this and my cat has stopped jumping on the counter, it only took 3 days.

  4. water spray bottle

  5. Grab that fur-ball by the scruff of the next and gentle place it on the ground and say no kitty  that a bad kitty. She only likes to do this because she see's it as a play thing and wants your attention.

have you tried a water pistol sometimes just the sound will scare he off

Put a balloon taped on the table and when she gets up there pop the

balloon with the pin keep doing this so she will get the message.

Good luck with that misbehaving kitten.

  6. get a water gun ... and spray her when ever she gets up there.  It works!!

  7. my cat USE to do this .

but go to walmart and in the pet section .

find a spray that is called scratch not .

    spray it on the counters it really helpss(;

  8. I have a kitten with the same problem. First remove all of the other furniture that she can just on to reach the counter and push all of the chairs in so it's harder for her to get on them. It's hard at first but you have to stay on her. Don't let her stay on the table or counter. As soon as she jumps (or looks like she's going to jump) say no or off. Do this as many times as it takes. (yeah I know it's a hassle). After awhile she will get the hint that you don't like her up there. Try blowing in her face if water doesn't work. Cats don't like that. Good Luck.

  9. Knock her off with something.

  10. If your cats view your table/counter ‘uninteresting’ they will be less likely to want to be on them. Leave as little on the counter or table as possible; never leave food out unattended. It’s best to make them realize there is nothing up there they want to see.

However, there are those cats who are willful and must be trained to not jump on the counters. For those cats, you can use one of those motion activated holiday decorations that make a noise and move around. We had a Jack O Lantern that would jump around and moan and groan with flashing eyes. That would startle Kitty into not wanting to go up there. Your goal is to associate jumping on the counter with something unpleasant.

If you react when the cat jumps on the counter, they will learn to do that to get your attention. Never yell at or spank him; that will only cause other more serious behavior problems. When training a cat, you must remember that they are very curious. By short stepping that curiosity, you can easily train your pet to stay off the counters.

Another method is to put a few pennies in empty soda cans  (with the hole taped up) on the edge of the counters, or wherever you’ve noticed the cat likes to jump up on. Slightly squeezing the cans on both sides to make them wobbly, will also make them fall off the counters more easily. When you cat jumps up, the loud noise will scare her and she will be less likely to want to jump up there.

  11. spray your cat with a water bottle immediately, but also make a noise everytime you do it. make sure you make the same noise every single time.  something like "CH!" (kinda like the dog whisperer) is what i do.  I did the spray/noise thing with my cats for a long time and now all I have to do is make that sound and they get off the counter.

ps--they'll usually try to sneak up when you're not looking no matter what.  it's a constant battle.

  12. get a material like buble wrap and put it on the counters and tables. the noise will eventually teach the cat to stay off. hope it helps :)

  13. The water gun or sprayer works well.

Also try putting down double stick tape or aluminum foil. They hate it and it wills stop them when you aren't around to spray them.
