How do i get my laptop to connect to a wirless network?

I recently recovered my laptop with the disc that came with it and now it wont connect to the wireless network for more then a few minutes while before i recovered it was able to stay connected all day.

Try putting your laptop on a static ip address. This stop shows you how.

Else you may be having a problem with your router or even the wireless card driver. You can try to fix the problems one at a time if switching ip addreses doesnt work.
