  1. those are a HUGE repsonsibility, not to mention expensive. you sound very spoiled right now. just get a puppy

  2. Tell them how much you adore them and how much you would love to have one as your own. Usually if you really talk to them personally [[ like have them sit down and actually have a good long talk with them ]] they really might look into this as like "Wow, she really wants a horse".

But your parents have to trust you enough that you have all the right responsibilities to take care of such a big animal that needs so much work. They need to have perfect trust in you. Because a horse is A LOT of work.

If you do end up getting a horse, make sure you do a lot of research about taking care of "your first horse" because you have a load to learn. There are many books and even small videos about taking care of your first horse, I suggest you watch them / read them.

Then when the time comes to get your horse. Make sure this is the right horse for you. Remember, you are a beginner. You must ride this horse and really think about it. Go back to look at the horse 4 or 5 times to make sure you are going to buy and learn on this horse and that it will teach you everything you need to know. So get an older one that has experienced so many more things.

Having a horse is absolutely wonderful. I could seriously not live without one. I am glad you want one so bad! =D

    I really hope I helped!

    GREAT LUCK! ♥

  3. Can't you just get a dog..?

    Horses cost thousands to buy,

and then loads more to rent/buy a stable.

They aren't the easiest of animals to maintain.

  4. I would suggest that you ask them for a swimming pool or something like that and then a horse will look like a bargain!

  5. do what your destiny tells you to!!!!!

  6. Do you ride? If you have already tried horseback riding lessons, and if you truly believe you are responsible enough to care for a horse, then perhaps you are ready.

Actually, I wrote an article that lists several reasons why it can be a good idea for parents to buy a horse for their child. If you want to read it, you can check out the link below (under SOURCES).

However, if your parents do not decide to purchase a horse for you (for any number of reasons), you can still enjoy horses. Why not ask for riding lessons? Perhaps you can volunteer to help at a local barn. Maybe you could even earn a few lessons for your labor.

    Happy horsemanship!

  7. well, have you put into consideration the upkeep costs of a horse? it's not a pair of sneakers that dont need anymore money put into them, obviously they dont want to buy you one because they dont feel you are responsible enough. show them that you are, but that wont happen overnight.

  8. Not sure were you live. or how old you are. if you live in the country look on line at the ASPCA they might have rescued horses that were abused, they might be cheaper to buy. the list

of why your mother and father are saying no is to long to list

    but good luck

  9. Can your parents afford one? Horses are really expensive to keep whether you board them or keep them on your property.
