How do i get my new bunny used to my dog?

i just got a bunny and he is about 7 weeks old and i want him to get used to my dog. my dog is small and would never hurt a soul but gets pretty excited around new things and when my mom tried to take him into my room where my bunny was fenced in the bunny got so scared that he jumped over the 3ft tall fence around him! since then i tried once to take my bunny around my dog while i was holing him and my dog started jumping all over me and trying to get to the bunny. how do i get them used to each other without scaring the bunny?

umm i have a bunny and a beagle and they kinda grew up together so they are used to each other.... but if i let them ouy 2gether they freak. lol sooo i would just sayy take them out 2gether for a few minutes at a time with you holding the bunny and someone else holdong the dog on a leash. and the maybe put the dog in her crate and then hold the bunny outside of the crate and see what happens. :D hope i helped!!

Well, this really depends on the personality of the dog and the rabbit, and whether or not they want to bond.

Simple. Put the bunny in a closed cage where he cant get out. Then bring the dog in the same room with a leash on. If the dog starts barking, or the rabbit gets scared, bring the dog into another room, wait until the rabbit calms down/or the dog stops barking and do it again and again until you, and the pets feel secure with eachother.once they are calm let them smell eachother through the bars of the cage. THen, keep the dog on a leash and have the rabbit be held by someone else, and let them smell eachother. once this is concered, try it without the leash but pull the dog away when it gets to rowdy. THen they should be okay with eachother. But never keep them together alone, even if the dog is trusted, anything can happen in a matter of seconds. Hope this helped!  : )
