How do i get my normal tv viewing to come through my surround sound?

Question

I have recently got a samsung TV and DVD surround sound, the sound is great when watching a dvd, but how do I also enjoy the sound when watching normal tv?

i have a sony and have a TV function on the DVD which allows me to listen to the TV through the surround sound, as long as its connected via scart etc.  it took me a while to work it out too.  hope you do!

You have to check on the back of your TV to see if there is an audio out option.  If there is, plug this into the DVD/surround sound and then enjoy...

Your tv needs to have audio-out connectors. And it will need an optical-out as well in order to enjoy 5.1 surround.
