  1. From Social Security themselves

You can replace your child’s Social Security card for free if it is lost or stolen. You are limited to three replacement cards in a year and 10 during a lifetime. Legal name changes and other exceptions do not count toward these limits. For example, changes in immigration status that require card updates may not count toward these limits. Also, you may not be affected by these limits if  you can prove you need the card to prevent a significant hardship.

To get a replacement card for your child, you must:

        * Complete an Application For A Social Security Card (Form SS-5); and

        * Show us documents proving your child’s:

o U.S. citizenship (if your child has not already established citizenship with us); and

              o Identity.

        * Show us documents proving your identity.

        * Take your completed application and original documents to your local Social Security office .

To get their birth certificates you have to call the records office for the town (or county) where the child was born and obtain copies of those.  You will need those to get replacement SS cards.  All of these documents usually require you to be the child's legal guardian, so if you are not, then your mother needs to get certified copies of the birth certificates, and then obtain replacement cards.

  2. Call the hospital to have the birth certificate reprinted, and go to a courthouse with them and the certificates, and explain the problem. You will have to go through a lot of red tape, but you will eventually get them.

  3. Call SS and ask them. You can request the info and replacement cards.

  4. I don't think one can get somebodies SSN without their permission, I know when I misplaced my childrens' birth certificates, I had to pay $40 a piece at the Government Office though.

If you have your Sister & Mother's permission to receive their numbers, you should have no problem with the Government helping you out by having you explain the situation.

    Hope that helps.

  5. have you tried internet search for "SSN replacement card"???

  6. Thats really your mom's responsibility, you need to go to court with your mom and ask for custodianship first.
