How do i get my snails to stop eating my plants in fishtank????

Question

so i have a 10 gallon fish tank with 1 betta, 5 neon tetras, 1 apple snail, and 1 ramshorn snail. my apple snail is eating ALL my plants, but i don't wanna get rid of him because he gets rid of almost all the algae. i haven't seen to many problems with the ramshorn snail. are there any ways i can stop my snails from eating my plants without harming the snails or fish???? (also, if u havent noticed, my tank is freshwater)

p.s. i do NOT want to get rid of the snails.

well i suggest getting a large plant that it will start to eat.  the plant will make it stop eating other plants and only that1 becuz its large. so yea get a LARGE plant so the snail will stick 2 that 1.

There is not much you can do to prevent an apple snail from doing something that they do. It will always eat most types of plants you keep in there. You could try feeding it lettuce leaves and see if that helps cut down on the amount of plants it eats.

get a piece of spinach, or darker green lettuce and place in an lettuce clip.  or maybe try some cooked, cooled and shelled peas, gently push a little bit towards their face if they are on the bottom, or in their path...

try isolating it for algae removal then move the partition to other areas that need cleaning. not sure if the snail will be intelligent enough to be unhappy

Your not gonna be able too, your gonna either have to put more plants in or just get rid of them which you dont wanna do anyways so I guess you gotta figure out a way to make it work

get plastic plants. from what i hear, snails do not eat plastic.

The best way to answer this question is to get plastic ones.I dont think they eat plastic.i am sure of it.

You can't. Snails loooooveeee plants. Snails and plants do not mix. You can't have one while you have the other. IF you do decide to get rid of the snails then get loaches (i.e. clown loaches) to eat them. . .
