How do i get my surround sound to play whats heard on my tv while watching cable?

i have a few surround sound systems but they dont play audio when im watching cable. i don't have a cable box, and i dont have audio out. only audio in. my tv isn't extremely old(sony trinitron 32 in.), so what can i get to play cable threw surround sound system.

  1. If you don't have a Cale or Sat box to give you digital sound you will only have analog sound.  

    I left cable to go to directv and I'm very impressed with the digital sound that I get out of every channel.


  2. get the cord with the yellow white and red then plug the white in the back(or front) of your tv then on the other end of the cord plug in the white in your surround sound. Make sure it's on the right setting when you turn it on.

    That's what i have to do at least. :]

  3. Without a cable box or audio out on your TV, you are out of luck. You need a source for the audio, and you don't have one.
