I have two female cats they are five years old, and they pee on everything, One of the cats is fixed the other isn't. But the one that is fixed started peeing on everything from the start. The other cat picked it up with time. I make sure their box is clean and they still pee. They get lots of love from everyone in my home. They have peed on almost everything in my apartment. I place smells so bad. i don;t know what to do.Everytime i get new sheets or something new they pee on it. I've had about enough. I have a two year in the house child and i really don;t want her to be around it, plus it looks really bad. Does anyone have suggestions, i really don;t want to get rid of them,

  1. Take them to a vet. They may have a urinary tract infection that needs to be treated. Urinary tract infections cause cats to pee everywhere.

    I am going through the same thing with one of my fixed neutered cats, and I know this is very stressful!

    Hope this helps!

    Good luck!

  2. Keep some spray bottles filled with water in several different locations, and whenever you catch them urinating anywhere that they're not supposed to, spray them when they are doing this.

    You should have taken steps immediately to stop them, it may be too late.

  3. My 6 year old cat does the same thing. I have plastic bags on all the furniture, but if she is upset with me she usually pees on my bed and it's getting really old! I keep her litter box clean all the time. The vet said it's a behavior problem and they can give her anxiety meds for it. I have found out through someone at the vet clinic not to use fabric softener on my bedding, to the cats it's like a drug and they fall into a deep sleep and don't even realize they are doing it.I love her to pieces and try and praise her when she is good. Keep all your bedroom doors closed during the day when you aren't home.The vet also recommended keeping her in the bathroom with her litter box and food while I'm gone at work, or even to put her in her carrier and she will soon figure it out

  4. I agree with siamese if you please. Sounds like a urinary tract infection to me also. Take them to to the vet asap. they will give you antibiotics and there not that expensive.

  5. i think their litter box ought to be placed in thebathroom and you ought to show concern when they dontuse it be firm and make it known to them that you dont approve what they are doing you must show you are annoyed

  6. a female cat doesn't pee on stuff to mark it, I will bet cha they have a urinary track infection, a round of antibiotics from your vet will clear this up, cats associate the litter box with pain, so they look for other places to do their business, thinking it wont hurt, I didn't say cats were bright, but they will stop peeing on stuff you need meds,

  7. Maybe that you have not potty trained or at least you did not mention it that you potty trained them so you will have to do that.  My 12 week old cat has not once peed on anything because its potty trained so I think that is the reason why they are peeing everywhere.  This also applies from my other 4 cats and 2 dogs and a fish but you do not need to potty train that.

  8. um ok cats hate the smell of citrus..

    orange or lemon peel etc.

    so either put that around.. or um

    u can buy a citrus smelling spray and just spray it everywhere..

    assuming of course ur not allergic to it or anything.

    yeah thats basically the only thing i can think of at this present time.

    goodluck =)
