  1. hmm well you guys can  have a sleepover and hang out.. i am a cheerleader and a volleyball player and i come to a small/ big school.. lol i know what i just said probably does not make any sense.. but my actual school is huge. but all the kids in it makes it small.. so i inda know where u r coming from.. I suggest that you on the next time you and the girls who are in your grade and are taking the same classes as you  have a test you could all  study together....

  2. Why don't you all go to the movies or mall together or you can tell them that you guys need to become one unit.  good luck

  3. Well, for starters, your team needs to meet at your home for dinner. I know this sounds old fashion but you should use what works.

Then just relax, talk over desert and play some board or card games.

If they are not into it, get the group that are and have them play and be really loud, so the ones that don't want to play will see how great it is to be fun and competitive.

Talk to them about what kind of music they like, if you got it play it. Start dancing and get some of them to join in.

Create a family environment, in which they are comfortable to just be open and honest. Some will resist but that is okay, it will take time.

Plan a trip out of town, nothing to far, but fun. To swim or hike at a national park near you. Camp out there for one night, make sure to invite parents (this will secure that you will be able to get almost everyone to join), keep it low cost for those who can not afford it. On the night you are out there, get someone to play a guitar, tell weird but funny stories, roast some s'mores. Yes I know it is a bit cheesy, but again I say use what works.

When you talk to your team, find similar interests and get others involved if they do not have any. Don't push it but suggest it.

Those who are smarter, have them help those who are struggling. This will encourage a trust within the team. Knowing that each cares for one another.

I know this part is a bit controversial, however, try and find our their faiths, if you are similar (Christians of different denominations) pray with one another. I am a Christian and I know that such things build in friendship and teamwork.

Well I hope and pray that some of these tips will help you build friendships and that God will help prioritize your team into a working well with one another.

  4. You're a great manager in the making! Good question! There is nothing like good old fashion team-building to bring a group of folks together. Team building anything that those people would think are 1) fun, and 2) a way to get "connected" to others.

    Here are some suggestions:

    1) Socializing: nothing is better (or cheaper) than people who have something in common (volleyball) just shooting the breeze, catching up on good times, sharing a meal, etc.  Take the team out for drinks, pizza, bowling, movie night at someone's house, etc.

    2) Activity-Based Team Building: Go rock-climbing or kayaking or row crew, a sport that requires the entire team to participate and count on one another.

    3) Common Identity: Engage in activities that makes the team feel like they are one unit. For instance, agree to wear your school colors the day after a game, paint your schools letters on their faces before games, all wear crazy colored socks to the games, etc.

    4) Do something to help others (together): Do a community service event together, like volunteer a homeless shelter or have a bake sale.

All of these things make being part of a team fun and worth the hard work!

  5. the popular thing for girls sports in our high school is what they call psych dinners. every one goes to one girls house and they have a dinner mabey watch a moovie and sometimes sleep over. also you guys could work out together. and run a mile in a nice line . start hanging out more. like go to the moovies together. and you as captain could call a meeting to see what the girls want to do to bond more. good luck
