  1. Laptop-

  2. If you use Windows (XP or Vista etc.) there should be a little arrow (<) to the left of the icons on the bottom right of your screen. Clicking the arrow will let you see all of the icons available.

  3. A speaker Icon should be in your system try (bottom right hand corner). When you double click that, the bars will pop up.

If the icon is not in the bottom right hand corner, then go to control panel, sounds, and put a check mark in the box beside "place volume icon in system tray"

  4. You must click on CONTROL PANEL then "SOUND and AUDIO DEVICES."  Normallly in front of you will be VOLUME and if you look carefully it will have box to check saying "Place volume icon in taskbar"

    Hope the Above Info Helps!

  5. Right click on the taskbar at the bottom of your desktop, select customize notifications, fine the one for the volume bar and change it from "HIde When Inactive" to "always show"

  6. go to sounds and check show on taskbar
