How do i get mystery gift off a friend?

In pokemon diamond i have a friend who is willing to give me mystery gift the only reason is i dont know how 2 receive it HELP!!

When you first start your game up, after the title scene where it says continue game instead of clicking that go down until you see mystery gift. Once your in there go to receive then get via friend. If you don't have the mystery gift option you have to go to Jubilife City and talk to the guy in charge of the Poketech company. I'm a little unsure who you have to talk to or what you have to say but go to www.serebii.net and they'll definitely have the answer.
