How do i get oil paint out of clothes???

i got blue oil paint on my new hollister sweatshirt like a week ago. what do i do to get it out?? i need true answers plzz!!

I can only suggest that you soak the sweatshirt in warm water and Murphy's soap. Pour just a drop of it directly onto the paint stain and rub it softly into the fabric, then let the garment stay in the water overnight.

In the morning try again to rub the paint off. Then rinse the garment in cold water and hang it up to dry.

This might work. I am an oil painter, but I wash my stains with Murphy's immediately after I finish my work, I do not let them dry on the fabric, but this is the only soap that works for me.

I really don't think you can get paint out after it has dried.  I have never been able to and I have tried everything.  The only thing that comes to mind that you might give a try is goo gone.  It might fade the color of the top, or maybe paint thinner, but again might take the color out of the shirt.  Sorry could be of no more help, but I had a really nice top, got paint on it and tried everything I could think of to get it out and no go.  Hopefully somebody will answer that knows and I too will know what to use next time this happens... use oil for oil paint i used coconut oil and it worked like a charm immediately. just remember to use soap after to wash it thoroughly and get the oil out.

Difficult once it's truly dry, and it is now. You might try some stuff you can get at artist's supply places called brush cleaner and restorer. It will soften completely hard paint, though it might take a while, like a few days. You'll have to find a way to keep the part of the shirt with the paint on it closed in a plastic bag or something while the stuff does its thing. Once the paint is soft, those orange hand cleaners are good on oil paint. I'd say if that doesn't work, you now have a new painting shirt.
