Question:

How do i get out of bed for class early in the morning?

im in college and those 8am classes kick my ***. i can never get out of bed, just turn my alarm off and go back to sleep....what can i do?

  1. set ur alarm clock where u have to walk over n turn it off.


  2. Go to bed earlyer. I have to get up at 6:30 or 6:00 for school at like 7 somehitng get over it everyone has to get up early. Set an alarm and like i said go to bed early

  3. Go to bed earlier! I have to get up at 5am and do it everyday so quit complaining.

  5. Move the alarm across the room.  By the time you walk across to turn it off, you probably won't be as tempted to get back into bed.  Go to bed earlier, if possible.

  7. Have two alarm clocks.  Set a coffee pot to have the coffee ready before your alarm goes off.

  8. don't go to the bathroom at night..then when the alarm goes, you'll just  get up and run to the bathroom as if some stray dog is chasing you...lol..trust me.

  11. I had a friend in college who set her alarm to a radio station with country music (which she hates).  She placed the alarm on the opposite side of the room, so when it went off she would have to get up and turn it off or suffer through music she hated.

  13. You sound like me. I have to wake up and get ready to go to the office. I usually wake up at 5 AM sometimes a bit earlier so I can check the horses before I head in to work. Someone else feeds them later but I just want to make sure they are OK which only takes 10 minutes so I would still have to wake up around that time. Isn't life a bit**. Honestly I own my own company and still have to drag my lazy butt to the office. OK so what you are saying is that you turn the alarm off? Well don't do that! :-) Every single person on here is going to tell you to go to bed earlier I bet, or maybe not because they will have read my post but if you are like me you get to bed at a decent hour (sometimes) and it still does not matter. The alarm clock is like the worst noise in the world and when you heard it on a commercial or something you cringe and want to change the channel.

    The only thing that has worked a little better for me is relaxing a bit more before going to sleep. Try to eat healthier. Don't take caffine during the day whether that is soda, etc. Find out if you have an extra lot of stress in your life and try to target that and find ways to make that better.

    When you finally get yourself drug out of bed splash your face with cold water, stretch, and make the day a good day even if you are only looking forward to your bed again. :-) Think about something good.. a girlfriend or something before you go to bed, so as you wake up you will have more of a reason to get out of bed. Do try to get in bed a little earlier no matter how hard it is, even if its just to relax for a little bit.

    Think about why you are in school and what you want to become.. Then also realize the early mornings will probably never leave but hey at least you can look forward to the weekends!
