How do i get out of progressive scan on Sony DAV-FR9?

i accidentally pushed on it and it went blank !

I'm assuming you're talking about a DVD player.  There may be a "Video Format" button on your remote that allows you to switch between the "p" and "i" formats.  If there is, just press this repeatedly until it goes back to a format that works.  Alternately, if you can hook up your player to your TV through a composite cable (the yellow video cable) you will be able to view the menus on your TV.  The composite outputs do not support the HD formats, so you don't have to worry about progressive and interlaced.
