since i'm a guy there's always been this huge pressure to be good at a sport. looking back at rugby, sports day, football etc. i was the worst rugby player on my team and was only picked once out of 4 sports days at high school. although i have done well academically in my life, there's just this thought that i'm a failure because i wasn't good at an area everyone else i know is. comapred to males i mean.

  1. I had a friend in high school that was really good at sports, I did better at school.  He peaked at 18 during his senior year.  I am going to medical school after finishing two Masters degrees.  Who cares if your bad at sports?  The smartest human is the best one because we have communally concurred the environment.

  2. just dont play sports

  3. Stick with what you're good at. Hone your acedemic skills to be better than everyone elses--that will give you something to be proud about, and give something for others to envy about you ^_^

Sports don't accomplish anything...intelligence makes the world better.

  4. go for a run and listen to your heart, the harder you go the louder it gets right, thats where the phycology comes in, if you go any further you might have a heart attack you tell your self.

i think you should test your self!!! be prepared make your heart beat so hard and see what happens, training every day gets you ahead of the pack just don't be vain about it

  5. Come on, man.  That is just school.  It really is sad to see that you find this such a problem, ok, so many people like it.  It's an image at school, do you think out with education life comes to a crashing end if you are bad at sport, NO. Infact, many who are good at sport are good only at sport and very few make a career or living from that, those who weren't so great have more going for them and can make up more credits and have talents in other fields.

Being good at sport is just the same as being good at maths, english, foreign languages etc - it's just one thing amongst many. Not important.

  6. There's nothing to be worried about... everyone has different talents and strengths, thank goodness or we'd all be clones of each other. That would be boring. If you really want to pursue a sport, keep looking until you find something that clicks with you. Running, weight training, golf, tennis, swimming, surfing, skiing, snowboarding, the list is endless. Make sure you are doing it to make yourself happy, not to measure up to someone else, or you'll never be happy. No doubt you have other strengths, too. Do what you love and the rest will come naturally. You don't have to compare yourself to anyone else. You are special because you're the only one like you.

Personally, I'd rather hang with the BBQ king, or someone who had interests not just activities.

  7. Maybe its because you don't try hard enough so dont start to wonder why. Enter a team or something.. do extra training.

  8. I'm sick at all sports so i cant help you too much but when i have a c**p day at practice i jsut hop online and own people in counter strike and it makes me feel better. '

if  it means that much to you find awsomehting that your rela good @

  9. I think you should focus on what you are good at.  I bet half the jocks wish they were good academically.
