How do i get people to like me in a speach?

Position your audience by using critical literacy terms and emotive language. Critical literacy terms like; marginalised, foregrounded, portrayed etc. Emotive language; for example "they suffered through immense hardship". This sort of language will postion your audience to follow you and to join in on your chosen perspective. I hope this helps.

find common ground wit them. make them understand that ur in it wit them. make sure that ur purpose is well thoughout and never be afraid to "dumb it down" to those who arent really gettin it. Make sure that ya voice is strong and full of confidence. When speakin, make eye contact.

personally, I think people connect wit u more when u look them in tha eye.

Try Speeches .com  -- it is a site that will help you write a speech to do what you want.  You have to deliver it though.

Humor.

To be honest, most people, unless they're serious, will space out during a speech and not pay any attention whatsoever.

When you've gotten their attention somehow, though, speak with conviction, like you sincerely believe everything you say.
