hi

i am a high school student and i will be a junior next year. i have been a long distance runner for the past two years. in the given time period, i have made a lot of progress. my personal best on the 5k is 17:25.but there is one thing that bothers me.i do not know how to peak at the right time.in the previous seasons i was running my best times in the middle of the season rather than at the end. which very frustrating. i am trying to prevent that form happening again. during the summer i was planning to run long runs and increase my endurance to the max. my goal is 500 miles+(may 26-august 15). do you think that is too much? is it too early to start doing intervals( 800m, 1200m, 1600m)right now. i train by myself so i am still figuring out how to train myself. i have so many questions! lol i really want to do good next year.

is there anyone who can offer some advice. thank you so much.
