  1. why not take some ibuprofen or tylenol or something BEFORE you get in the pool.  That will stop it before it even starts so you don't have to deal with the pain at all.

Okay, but still, why are you getting that pain???

are you over exerting yourself a lot in the pool? like swimming a lot of laps or something? that might be why you are getting it.

Also is the pool in the hot sun or bright lights? that could be another reason why.

You need to try to figure out why so you know it's not like something serious or something... KWIM???

I hope you can figure it out and also that you can feel better.

  2. My friends and I gets headaches or dizzy when she swan non-stop or exerting too much effort on reaching target laps.  What I do is sort of limit these.

  3. Could it be something you're doing when you're swimming like straining your neck at an odd position?

It could be a dehydration or low sugar thing, try eating a cereal bar and drinking plenty of water when you come out.

  4. This exact same thing happens to me. I just take some advil right afterwards (sometimes even before) and that seems to help. It normally happens if I am under the water more than normal. Maybe it has something to do with the water pressure? ...You know how when you go down to the bottom of a pool your ears can pop.

I do know that I am just very sensitive because many other things give me headaches as well (ex: chewing gum, strong perfume, etc.)

We are probably both just sensitive! Hope this helps :-)

  5. It could be dehydration. People don't tend to notice that they're sweating in the water. Try keeping a water bottle by the side of the pool.

  6. dont drink the water while swimming, that should help

  7. There is a condition called exertional headache.  Ever get the same thing running, or doing other strenuous activity?  The diagnosis depends on the history, ( we don't have much) and the examination.  Recurrent sudden head pain warrants a look-see.  Get referred to a Neurologist.  He will want to know what brings it on, what makes it worse, if anything makes it better, where is it located, any associated symptoms- blurred vision, nausea, dizzy, etc.  Most exertional headache is benign, but not all. Get checked.
