I have a 32" widescreen LCD sanyo hdtv (model #DP32746). and an xbox 360. My tv accepts the HDMI along with component video cables. but i have a hard time fixing the lag for the games rock band and guitar hero 2 and 3.I have tried the lag calibration feature on each of these with no help at all. I have tried with a direct audio going to a stereo system(optical cables),hdmi cable setup and component video setup with no help in the lag department. does anybody have any ways to eliminate the lag in these games?

  1. Is your lag problem with Xbox live over the internet? If so you need a faster internet connection. My grandson complained about the lag when we had a DSL connection because it could not keep up. We switched to cable internet and he has no more problems.

  2. Video lag is inherent in every HDTV. This is due to the way digital transmissions are compressed. The only way to remove this lag is to have purchased an HDTV with a gaming mode. These gaming modes reduce the video buffering in the TV, therefore, they reduce the video lag & give you a near real-time video gaming experience. The time to have addressed this issue was prior to making your HDTV purchase. Now it is too late as your Sanyo LCD TV does not support this feature.
