How do i get rid of a red eye?

ok i have 2 red irritated eys they dont really hurrt much but they are really red. and i wear contacts but i havent put them in for a while and it is still red. i think it might be allergys but i took medicine.

anybody have n e ideas that might save myself from a dr. trip

Get some eye drops...like visine...there are others...they are supposed to "get the red out".
