  1. Lots of water, a bit of coffee, a nice long walk/run, and time.

  2. Tapering off of Cymbalta over a period of months by making small drops every few weeks will help you to avoid withdrawals as much as possible.

Withdrawals can last a long time if you have been taking the drug for a while (over a month) and stop cold-turkey.

Cymbalta makes changes to your brain chemistry and it takes time for your brain to get back to normal. If you take away a just little bit of medicine at a time it will be easier on you while things balance out.

To make very small measured doses you can empty the capsule, weigh the contents with a milligram scale (jeweler's), and empty the contents into gel-caps.

Once the number of pellets is lower, you can count them.

  3. water...and make sure u are weening urself off...not jsut stopping all of a sudden

  4. Are you under the supervision of a physician while stopping the cymbalta?  If you arent, you need to be as you cant stop it cold turkey.  You MUST be weaned off it.
