How do i get rid of dumb antivirus xp 2008?

stupidly i downloaded wat i thought was a legit java update earlier turned out 2 be antivirus xp 2008 n i have tried un installing it but it wont un install iam currently using the telus e protect n i scanned it twice alreadywith the anti spyware n it detects it n i qurentine n then remove it it comes bacck again on re boot it has messed with my screen saver n jus has a creepy blue screen that sez my comp is at risk n shud use their software 2 remove the 400+ non existant viruses i have on my comp by the way i would have 2 pay 4 their anti spyware n malware.PLEASE I AM IN NEED OF HELP THANK U IN ADVANCED

  3. Well i have yet to find an easy way to remove this i see it all the time in the company i work for. The fastest solution i have found is formating and reinstalling windows. The only other way i have been able to stop this involves hours of deleting this thing out of the registry which i do not recommend unless you really know what your doing in there. So long story short i would back my stuff up and just nuke it.

    Switch off system restore.

    Install, update and run a full scan with SUPERantispyware [free edition] http://superantispyware.com

    When your system is clean you can if you wish re-enable system restore.

  9. turn off system restore, reboot in safe mdoe and THEN do a virus scan/clean up

  10. Get avast antiviurs and then schedule a boot time scan. It scans your PC while its booting and will remove the virus. Avast is free and you can download it by simply searching for it in google.
