I live in Arizona. Next to a greenbelt and also have a swimming pool in my backyard. We are in monsoon season now. I now have literally hundreds of baby frogs in my front yard and in my backyard. You can barely walk they are all over the place and jumping. The grass is filled with them and i cannot mow the grass. They are in my pool and all over. How can i get rid of them?

  1. OMG i luv frogs but if U feel so arogent 2 think they r a lesser  life form u should hav try corn starch they dont usally like it

  2. I have the same problem! Really nothing you can do...even they were too many for my cat to catch!

I guess we have to let nature take it's course.

  3. Are they frogs or toads? Frogs are looking for moisture and grounds to have babies. They will leave when it dries out. I have never seen a frog in a clorinated pool. Toads will eat bugs and will leave when the food source depleats. You can buy toad houses and they will shelter in there when you mow.

  4. Try contacting your local Humane Society, this has to be a common problem and they probably have a solution. It may not be the solution your looking for however. We had ladybug infestations where we use to live and the recommended solution was to kill them.

  5. Very good question.  I have a bunch of toads here in GA all over my yard and ZI hate toads.I have asked everywhere and at garden centers the only answer I get since frogs and toads are benefisal and most people want them is to cut out the insect population that they feed on so they will go elsewhere.

  6. Did you know that OWLS eat frogs?  You can buy an owl box, and believe it or not, you'll end up with a "build it and they will come" situation.  I read an article about some women in a Texas city who put up an owl box, and sure enough, they ended up with a screech owl, I think it was.
