How do i get rid of knives?

i have been cleaning out a house and found a couple of knives i was wondering how to get rid of them do you just throw them in the bin or do you take them to the police station? what do you do with them? i dont want them to get into the wrong hands because there is enough knife crime already

I would wrap them in something so they aren't dangerous anymore, then throw them away.  Wrap in rags and then tape, bubble wrap, box them up, something to that effect so that the blade doesn't go through some poor sanitation workers leg.  I think the police might think you're a nutbar if you bring in knives that you don't want anymore.

Silly Brits, how does it feel to live in such a nanny-state? I feel bad for you guys, the government taxes the h**l out of everything, and you aren't allowed the freedom to protect yourself. Elect Jeremy Clarkson as your next PM.

but whatever you do dont keep them and they can get into the wrong hands.

put them in a box or something and wrap them up and then put them in the trash with a bunch of c**p then in a large bin... never will be found

Is there a local charity or thrift shop that has low priced goods for those who are needy?  When moving or doing a clean out of un-needed excess at home, I usually have something for the Salvation Army, Saint Vincent DePaul, Disabled Veterans, etc...
