How do i get rid of lizards in my apartment!?

Question

Ok, for a while, there's been a couple of lizards hangin out around the door to my apartment at night. We basically ignored them, but I was worried that they may eventually get in...

Whereas it doesn't seem THEY got in, aparently they had babies, and I know of at least one that is in my apartment now, and possibly more.

I don't know if there's anything i can do to get rid of them, like traps or anything, so if anyone has some suggestions I would really appreciate it.

theres a trap that is this really sticky paper they get stuck to. you should catch them and then sell them off.

Lizards could carry salmonella.  This is an important reason to get rid of them.  Unless you chase them around the house all day with a jar and a lid, there is no humane way to catch them.  My preference is to use a regular mouse trap with bait.  A little messy, but it will do the trick.  You could also use sticky (glued) paper, but it is important that no matter what trap you put down, do your homework first and find out what part of the house they are at and what "routes" they take.  This is a very important rule in order to easily trap an invader.

Next, to prevent them from gaining entry again, seal any open cracks or holes that may exist in your home, especially the utility areas.  Also lizards, like many other home invaders, will move to a spot with a food source.  If you have a problem with lizards, you may also have a problem with something else living in your home.

try a hardware store for some kind a trap , i suggest a humane trap catch and release

We have lizards here as well,they are all over the apt. complex where I live and often find them on the patio.I've only had a couple get inside the apartment,I use those paper stick traps by the door so that if any get in they get stuck to the trap.It's not very humane though.I've also heard that spraying 3 parts ammonia to 1 part water in a spray bottle,keeps them away as do leaving bay leafs all around the boarder of your apartment inside...however if you have a dog or cat it might not be a good idea..

It's true, lizards are harmless to us humans. There are poisonous lizards out there but I doubt there the ones in your apartment. I wouldn't try to use traps but there is poison that they dislike. Maybe look it up on the internet, you may find things they dislike. If that doesn't work, I would got to a pet shop or an animal shelter and ask there. They'll definitely have information  for you.

Lizards are harmless to humans, they eat many pests like Bugs and Slugs, what does it look like ?
