  1. You should notify the attorney that he is fired and demand a copy of your file.  You need to have proof that you sent this communication.  I suggested you either send it by fax and keep the confirmation sheet or send it by U.S. Postal Service certified mail, return receipt requested.  If you can't prove that you sent it the lawyer can say he never received it and you can't prove that he did receive it.  Get the evidence.  It's easy to do.

  2. Just send them a letter saying there services are no longer needed & ask them to return any files they have on you

  3. You can pick up the phone and call them and tell them that they are fired or you can write a note and say, I have decided to fire you. It is very simple. If you do not like them, fire them and get a new one!

  4. Dear Sir,

    You're fired.

  5. Well you can either do it yourself as you have indicated in your question by writing a letter to the attorney discharging him/her from representing you any further in the matter. Or you can hire a new attorney and have that attorney discharge your prior attorney form representing you any further in the matter, since you have obtained new counsel.

I personally would opt for the second suggestion, this will ensure your new attorney received your complete file, so that he/she can represent you fairly.

If you have any additional questions, please feel free to send me an email or list additional details under your question.

    Best wishes.

  6. simple, just tell the attorney he or she is fired.
